- A passionate learner, Yvette continues to develop her skills and experience through student placements and workshops including:
- The Nagle Centre for Youth, student placement (2012)
- Creative therapy workshops with Jacki Short (clinical psychologist), Sydney Centre for Creative Change (2012)
- Yvette also holds a current Senior First Aid Workplace Level 2.
- In 2018, Yvette completed DV-alert Awareness session from the Department of Social Services. It is a key initiative under the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2010-2022 .
- Black Dog Institute Depression Course
- In 2019, Yvette studied SMART (Self Management and Recovery Training) and is qualified to facilitate group programs to assist in any problematic behaviours and/or addictions. Modalities used are a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques.
